Textile filter media ensure environmental protection in industrial processes
Filter media for dust collection in industrial processes are needed for numerous important industries; from aluminum to cement production, from waste incineration to power generation, and also in food technology. The demands on the filter media are high, with temperatures ranging from 0 to 250°C and higher.
Fluorocarbons are used on the filter media to increase the service life of the filters and ensure the cleaning effect over a long period of time. Their oil and water repellency exhibits excellent chemical and thermal resistance, allowing them to survive numerous regenerations. The filter media are expected to maintain emission levels under high temperatures in continuous operation (i.e., 24,000 to 32,000 hours, and rising) for many years and to withstand the permanent pressure of the high exhaust gas flows.
For this demanding combination of requirements, there is currently no alternative for the replacement of fluorocarbon chemistry.
